Gloria’s extensive experience offers a unique perspective in evaluating personal injury claims, informed by her work across a broad spectrum of practice areas including personal injury, medical malpractice, sexual assault, business litigation, product liability, and more.

Her client roster is diverse, encompassing patients with medical negligence claims, victims of sexual assault, a wide range of companies, universities, hospitals, physicians, product manufacturers, and property owners. Gloria is a fearless advocate for justice and equality, with a particular focus on advancing women’s rights and addressing systemic injustices in the healthcare industry.

A native of Greenville, North Carolina, Gloria earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1996 and her Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from Campbell University in 2000. During her time at Campbell, she contributed to the Campbell Law Review and was a member of the Order of Barristers and Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity. Over her 24-year career, Gloria has also engaged in various roles within the legal community, including serving as a board member and Co-chair of the Medical Malpractice Committee for the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys, instructing at the National Institute of Trial Advocacy, and participating as a moot court and trial advocacy judge.

Gloria has been recognized for her exceptional legal practice, including being named to the Best Lawyers in America (2023, 2024), Top 100 by The National Trial Lawyers, Top 10 Nationally Ranked Attorney Award by National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys (2024) and earning honors from Super Lawyers and Super Lawyers Rising Star.

In addition to her professional achievements, Gloria is actively involved in community service. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Wake Med Foundation and is Co-Chair of the Wake Med Courage to Confront Crisis Campaign whose mission is to increase awareness and raise funds to build a mental health hospital for Wake County.  She also has served on the Board of Directors for the YMCA of the Triangle, and was a member of the Saint Mary’s School Board of Trustees from 2009 to 2019, including a term as Board Chair from 2017 to 2019. Gloria’s involvement extends to her local church, Christ Episcopal Church in Raleigh, where she has served on the Vestry and contributed to outreach and youth ministries. She is also a member of the National Charity League where she volunteers with numerous local charities annually, including Salvation Army, Helen Wright Women’s Center, Wake Relief Food Bank, Diaper Train, and Green Chair.

Gloria and her husband, Mike, have three children and they all enjoy spending time together on the lake, in the mountains or on the couch, even if it is “forced family fun”.
